DESCRIPTION:The 2050 is Now Consortium is a group of partners dedicated to providing governments and in-country research institutions with the tools and analysis needed to strengthen long-term low emission development strategies (LT-LEDS) and reduce global greenhouse gas emissions in line with national development goals. The 2050 is Now webinar series will invite experts from around the world to explore best practices and lessons learned on LT-LEDS topics. \nThe 2050 Pathways Platform is delighted to invite you to the first session of this series where speakers from leading institutions and governments will explore the development of LT-LEDS at the national level. As more than 30 countries are in the process of developing or updating their LT-LEDS\, this session will provide insights into essential aspects of the formulation process and benefits of developing an LT-LEDS\, present an overview of the global state of LT-LEDS\, and highlight the next steps on the road to COP30 to enhance ambition around long-term climate and development goals. \nThis session will end with a Q&A with the audience.
