SUMMARY:Pathways for a just energy transition aligned with Morocco's sustainable and resilient development goals
DESCRIPTION:The event aims to initiate a dialogue on Moroccan’s Net Zero Framework and the dialogues on the implementation and operationalisation of the country’s Long-term Vision and Long-term Low Emission Development Strategy (LT-LEDS). The 2050 Pathways Platform will be giving opening remarks reflecting on the LT-LEDS work to date in Morocco. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe panel will also include a discussion on the challenges and opportunities associated with the implementation of the LT-LEDS in Morocco\, and approaches to mobilising public and private investments to better support the various national and local stakeholders in this effort and transform these ambitious objectives in results on the ground.

DESCRIPTION:Following the recent 2023 Annual Meeting of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund\, 10 multi-lateral development banks released a joint statement outlining key areas of cooperation between MDBs. Key takeaways of the joint statement is the announcement of two new key finance mechanisms  for LT-LEDS development include a joint LT-LEDS facility. This event will see the formal launch of the LT-LEDS Facility\, the discussion will be moderated by the 2050 Pathways Platform.
