Events marked with an asterisk (*) indicate COP29 events where the 2050 Pathways Platform will be actively involved—either as speakers, co-organisers, or participants. These are events of high relevance to our current projects.
Events without an asterisk represent sessions hosted by network partners. These events have a focus on LT-LEDS or long-term planning and may be of interest to our network.
Speakers: UNFCCC, NDC Partnership, IDDRI, Cambodia, Jordan, Saint Vincent & The Grenadines
Drawing on the experience of Cambodia, Jordan, and Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, this event will highlight the importance of sustainable institutional arrangements and capacity building in the implementation of the Paris Agreement, as well as the integration of climate action planning into long-term development planning. It will seek to demonstrate a systemic approach to identifying and addressing capacity-building challenges to such goals, thus encouraging participants to consider applying similar efforts in their respective countries. This event will also provide a space for IDDRI to present the main insights of a newly launched guide on NDC and LT-LEDS alignment, co-developed by IDDRI and the 2050 Pathways Platform.
