Events marked with an asterisk (*) indicate COP29 events where the 2050 Pathways Platform will be actively involved—either as speakers, co-organisers, or participants. These are events of high relevance to our current projects.
Events without an asterisk represent sessions hosted by network partners. These events have a focus on LT-LEDS or long-term planning and may be of interest to our network.
Developing nations often face formidable barriers to unlocking climate finance. These include the absence of high-level political support, weak institutional capacity, disjointed planning processes, limited access to data and modelling tools to support rigorous technical analysis, little stakeholder engagement, inadequate policy frameworks, and the lack of a clear financing strategy. With panel participation from the 2050 Pathways Platform, this session will explain how the Data-to-Deal approach aims to address all of these aspects in a sustained, integrated and holistic manner.
This event is organised by the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, Imperial College London, UCL, Loughborough University, and Open University and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
